Message from Chancellor

Sri Balaji Vidyapeeth had marched into the academic year 2018 with lots of agenda for donning the mantle in the frontiers of academics, research and patient care which has created lots of expectations to be realised during the year. The Journey has achieved remarkable credits from the perspectives of review inspection by a high level UGC team for continuing the Deemed to be University status for SBV, NIRF India Rankings 2018 in which SBV had once again made its mark as one among the top 100 Universities of India,securing the 72nd rank.

The challenges ahead of us in the coming year are galore and we need to find ourselves in the list of Institutes of Eminence in the country and also there is an urgent need to tap better utilization of our research facilities. This would certainly and objectively boost our research output . Furthermore, collaborative tie-ups with various National and International organizations have to be established inthe near future. To add one more feather to our cap, I feel gratified to note that from the year 2019 onwards, the four journals of SBV have now found a new domain sbvjournals.com which will further propel research at SBV to greater heights. M/s JAYPEE PUBLISHERS, New Delhi are our partner in this endeavour which should certainly usher in newer hopes, greater visibility and enhanced perception.

I am confident that Sri Bajaj Vidyapeeth would romp home with improved success in the year 2019. To enable this endeavour, I strongly pronounce the concept of Team Work that should be advocated all along. If this is enabled, Sri Balaji Vidyapeeth would be poised in a vantage position to tread gracefully on the robust and well defined path to all round progress.

Message from Vice Chancellor

The millennium has ushered in challenges which will have a profound impact on the role of private universities. Professional competence will be highly sought after in India and around the globe. The challenge shared by all higher education institutions is to bestow the requisite knowledge and skills, and inculcate proper etiquette and attitude in order to produce top-notch professionals who will be valued both for their professional competence and their inherent ability to solve problems.

Sri Balaji Vidyapeeth, Deemed to be University and accredited by NAAC with ‘A’ Grade is dedicated to its mission in order to nurture healthcare professionals in Medicine, Dentistry,Nursing and Allied Health Sciences, who would contribute and strive ceaselessly towards caring for the sick and weary. The constituent colleges of SBV (DU) are already noted for the excellence in various avenues including teaching, research, and service to the community, especially those who are marginalized and underserved. SBV(DU) is endowed with committed, dedicated and outstanding faculty- a healthy mix of the young & veterans backed by an excellent infrastructure. Our challenge for the future is to capitalize on this great start and establish ourselves firmly among the comity of leading Universities.

The reputation of any institution is essentially based on the quality of its output. The management and the administrative staff have taken cognizance of this and are doing their best to train and educate the students in the overall academic endeavors that they have embarked on. The students who had gained entry into the portals of SBV(DU) have realized their ambition.Research and to be more specific Evidence based Research has paved the way for enhanced understanding of the vision and mission of SBV. Research acts as the perfect bridge between academics and patient care. Needless it is to state that research activities are reflected in quality publications and presentations at national and international congregation.

To add flavor, the students undergo an excellent workshop on “How to convert Dissertations/ Thesis into research publications. The faculty are also highly motivated to perform innovative research that culminate in good publications. I sincerely hope that the MoU with M/sJAYPEE PUBLIHERS, New Delhi would pave way for more of vibrant , objective and value fortified publications. This would eventually have set in a scientific temper to instil hope, courage, conviction and credence in the hearts and souls of the concerned.

I wish all the Editors of the SBV journals, all the very best and do hope that in the years to come, Sri Balaji Vidyapeeth would emerge as an outstanding healthcare higher education institution not only in India, but globally.
